Fire Home Page
Welcome to the Fife Fire & Rescue Service website.
I hope that you find the site to be interesting and informative and that it provides easy access to information relating to our service.
When designing the site we tried to make sure that there was something to interest people of all ages and I hope that it will both raise your awareness of the Fire Service and help you learn a little about Fire Safety.
The Fire Service is currently undergoing a significant programme of modernisation. Traditionally we have been seen as a reactive organisation, dealing with fires road accidents and other emergencies. We will of course continue to respond to these incidents but we will now take a more proactive role in reducing the number of fires and other emergencies. In order to do this successfully we have to identify the causes of fires and accidents and where they are likely to occur. This data analysis will form part of our Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP) and enable us to deliver the most appropriate and effective service to the community.
This website forms part of the plan to educate and inform people and I hope that you find the information helpful. Most people’s image of the Fire Service is still of fire engines attending fires and road accidents, this is only one part of our organisation, there are a large number of people who contribute to delivering this service. This site allows you to look behind the scenes at the departments, people and facilities that support the operational side of the Service. If you take anything from this site I hope it is the resolve to make you and your family safer. Thank you for visiting our website and I hope that you will revisit in the future, whether it is for advice or simply due to interest in us, your Fire and Rescue Service.
