    Fife Emergency Planning Strategic Coordinating Group is a partnership comprising of Fife Council, the emergency services and other relevant agencies and is jointly chaired by the Chief Constable of Fife Constabulary and the Chief Executive of Fife Council. The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 places a statutory obligation on the Group to undertake risk assessments and maintain them in a Community Risk Register. Risk Assessment is the first step in the emergency planning process and aims to identify those risks, which could result in a major emergency in Fife. Risk Assessment is not a static process and is subject to constant review. The information contained in this Register will, as a result, be regularly updated
