FIREFIGHTER RETAINED RECRUITMENT

This information booklet has been compiled to give you the information you need to make a decision on whether the job of a Retained Duty System (R.D.S.) Firefighter is right for you. If you are satisfied that you have the necessary skills and qualities, you should complete the application form.

Fife Fire and Rescue Service covers an area of 508 square miles. The Service currently employs approximately 561 people in various functions of which approximately 112 are employed as R.D.S. Firefighters. The Service has 8 retained duty system stations located in the following towns:

• Anstruther
• Auchtermuchty
• Burntisland
• Cupar
• Newburgh
• St Andrews
• St Monans
• Tayport
